Shepherding God's People
The best picture of God that stays in my mind is the image of the Goodly Shepherd.
The Goodly Shepherd who is Jesus is not only good in 'professionally' leading the sheep; above all his goodness swells up from the bottom of his heart. He always finds ways and means to reach them out.
God's heart is truly loving. More than condemning, he always forgives.
As a shepherd after the heart of the Goodly Shepherd, this calls me to imbibe the attitude of empathy, accomodating more than descriminating, launching new initiatives not only in activities but also putting on new spectacles of shepherding.
